✐☡ 何がめでたいというわけでもないけど、 「新年だしいっか♪」と謎に新年にあやかることで いつもより少し贅沢なことも、なんだかそれらしい理由があるように思えてしまうのはわたしだけかな。 　 そんなことはさておき。 わたしがフランスで迎える新年に、ずっと楽しみにしていたことがある。 それはガレット・デ・ロワを食べること… 気持ち的には、その楽しみの70%くらいは中に入っているフェーブ🪆 恥ずかしながらそんな文化は知らずにこれまで過ごしてきて 去年9月にその存在を知り、来年絶対に！と、この時期を心待ちにしてた。 　 実際にこの季節を迎えてみると ガレット・デ・ロワは、想像していたよりもっと、フランスの人たちにとって身近な存在みたい。 パティスリーやパン屋さんだけじゃなくスーパーでもお手頃なのが売っている。 　 ガレット・デ・ロワ初心者としては、やはり王道を攻めるべきだろう、ということで 人生初はパリで最古のパティスリー”Stohrer（ストレー）”で。 （クリスマスケーキもここだった。） 　 フェーブが当たると王様になれるらしいので、郷に入っては郷に従え、 「当たった方の選んだワインでお祝いする」という契りを夫と交わした。 さて、6~8人用サイズの大きなガレット・デ・ロワ、 好きなところをそれぞれ１カットずつ切り分けて…食べ進めていると夫がいきなりビックリしはじめた👀 まさかそんなことあるわけ〜・・・あるんか〜い！！ １カット目で夢破れ、わたしに当てさせてあげたかった夫も苦笑い。 　 そんなちょっとした驚きとともに新年は幕を開けた。 今年の抱負はもう決まった、けどそれはまた今度きちんと書き綴りたいと思う。 食べたいガレット・デ・ロワ（フェーブ目当て）が他にもたくさんあるから、 早く次を買いに行かなきゃ。 　 -------------- I had been looking forward to one thing about welcoming the New Year in France. It was eating “Galette des Rois”. To be honest, about 70% of my excitement was about the fève hidden inside. I had been waiting for this season just for that. Galette des Rois felt even more familiar to French people than I had imagined. You can find it not only at pâtisseries and bakeries, but also at supermarkets, and at very reasonable prices. For my very first galette, I chose the classic one from ”Stohrer”, the oldest pâtisserie in Paris.
　 The galette was quite large, made for six to eight people. We cut it into slices and started eating. Then suddenly, my husband looked surprised. I never thought this would happen.
First slice, and my dream of the fève was gone!😆 My husband, who had hoped I would find the fève, gave a little playful smile. And just like that, our New Year began with a little surprise. I already know my goal for this year, but I’ll write about it properly another time. There are still many Galette des Rois I want to try (mostly for the fèves),

🎄 Merry Christmas! 小さなころのクリスマスといえば、『サンタさん』をひと目拝みたい一心で眠い目を擦りながら格闘し、毎度のことながらめでたく熟睡した。 姉と作戦を立てて二段ベッドで見張ったりもしたけど、やっぱり寝てた… それなのに『サンタさん見た』というお決まりの嘘もついたことがある。 でもあるときその"秘密"に気づきかけ、否定してもらいたい気持ちもありつつ半信半疑で敢えておばあちゃんに聞いた、『サンタさんって…』と。 そしたら『もうそろそろ気づく年頃になったんねぇ☺️』とにこやかにあっさり認められてしまった。 それがわたしの"信じていれば来てくれるサンタさん"とのお別れ。 　 学生のときには友達とのクリスマスが一番楽しかった…ただただ若かった、いま直視するには眩しすぎて見えない。 そして社会人になってからは、彼氏がいるか否かでその日の仕事に対する熱量が目に見えて変わっていた気がする。 "このあとデート"というだけで、ちょっといつもよりがんばれた気がするし、その逆も然り… そしていまは、夫がわたしのクリスマスを彩ってくれている。 　 なんてことのない、 わたしの平凡なクリスマス遍歴🎄🎁 　 -------------- When I was little, Christmas meant staying awake to see Santa,rubbing my sleepy eyes and always ending up fast asleep.I even told the usual lie, “I saw Santa.” 　 One day, half hoping it wasn’t true, I asked my grandmother.She smiled and said, “You’re old enough to notice now.” That was my goodbye to Santa. 　 As a student, Christmas was happiest with friends. As a working adult, whether I had a boyfriend somehow changed how I felt about that day. Now, my husband colors my Christmas. 　 A small story of my Christmases. ୨୧ ⑅ 美術館としては小ぶりでも見 ୨୧ ⑅ 美術館としては小ぶりでも見逃せない作品がたくさん。 ルーベンス、ティツィアーノ、レンブラント、カナレット... 細かな部分にもこだわりを感じられて、ほとんどの展示室をシャンデリアが照らしているのにも感動した。（そんな美術館なかなかない…） 　 フラゴナールの《ぶらんこ》は とびきり甘い空気の部屋に特別扱いで展示されている。 壁紙やインテリアも作品の世界観にぴったりで どこからかフローラルな香りがしてきそうな、とにかくkawaii空間だった🩰✨ 　 -------------- 　 Although the museum is rather small in scale, the quality of its collection is remarkably high. Works by renowned masters such as Rubens, Titian, Rembrandt, and Canaletto line the galleries, making it a place you can truly enjoy even if you don’t have much time. 　 One of the most surprising highlights was that most of the exhibition rooms are illuminated by chandeliers. ✐☡ 📍Tate Britain テート美術館 / Londo ✐☡ 📍Tate Britain テート美術館 / London 　 展示室に足を踏み入れたとき、大きな美術書のページを開くような感覚だった📖 一冊の本みたいな美術館で、集中して鑑賞するのにちょうどよい大きさ。 　 展示作品の中で、ミレーの《オフィーリア》がひときわ目を引いた。 無垢な美しさの中に潜むかすかな狂気、 死の瞬間に残されたわずかな意識の痕跡が切なかった。 描かれた花々にも、それぞれ意味が込められている。 彼女はどんな思いを巡らせ、歌い、静かに水底へ沈んでいったのだろう。 　 ————— The exhibition room felt like opening a large art book 📖 The museum was the right size, like a single book, and I could move through it with focus. Among the works, Millet’s Ophelia stood out. A faint madness hid in her innocent beauty,leaving a gentle trace of awareness at the moment of her death.
